Welcome to the long-awaited site for Earth Tones Photography by Andrew Baker.
Earth Tones Photography is the way that I see. It is color. It is light. It is depth, mood and emotion. It is contrast. It is subtle
and it is dynamic. It is listening to the wild in the land and transforming the stories to images.
These photographs are the result of my journeys into places of solitude, wilderness and beauty. The rugged and amazingly
diverse landscape of Northern Arizona is the primary foundation for my imagery. From the highest point in the state, at the
summit of the San Francisco Peaks, to the remote depths of the Grand Canyon, Northern Arizona alone has more than a
lifetime's worth of images just waiting to be exposed. The Colorado Plateau and its timeless soul call for me every so often,
and on occasion I hear whispers that intrigue and inevitably pull me out of my high-desert homeland to other remarkable and
respected places. The Portfolios linked to the images below will hopefully ignite, inspire and encourage your own wild spirit.
