Spirit of the Sunrise
Lomaki Ruin is one of many sites at Wupatki
National Monument in Northern Arizona. Lomaki
is a Hopi word for "beautiful house."
Photographed here at sunrise, the name is
definately applicable. The San Francisco Peaks
in the background are sacred to many Native
Americans, and must have been for the builders of
this place as well.
