Sunrise in the Supai Pools
My friends were asleep on the rocks just
off-camera, as I made this composition just after
sunrise in the Wet Beaver Creek Wilderness.  The
canyon was aglow in the early morning light and as I
hurried to make a few exposures I nearly missed a
big leaf blocking the lens of my camera.  I saw it right
before exposing my second sheet of film, and
moved it while I shot.  Sheet #1 has a big green blur.
