Sunrise on Cathedral Lake
This image was made just as the sun started to hit
the little wildflowers and grasses in the foreground.
It was the day after the Summer Solstice and even
then, on the longest day of the year, it was very
chilly. Cathedral Lake is located in the High
Country of Yosemite National Park. Cathedral
Peak is casting its shadow into this scene, and early
morning provided a glassy lake surface reflection.
